I'm sure there are a few "Isabel's" floating around but don't give me this "common name for Hispanic males" business as if it's popular. I mean maybe it's popular in Cuba, Chile or El Savador(places I've never been).

Nowhere near as popular as "Michael" but way more popular than "Brahm" (which one of my cousins named his kid). The point is, in an English-speaking country, no one thinks twice when they hear a guy is named Roger, and in a Spanish-speaking country, even if it's not as big as "Juan" or "Miguel," no one thinks twice when they hear a guy is named "Isabel."

I'm sure the name pops up from time to time since there might be 2 billion with Latino names but I don't buy this idea that it's a common male name----not for one second. Furthermore, I have seen countless hrs. of Major League Baseball and I have yet to see a player with that name.
