The fate of the "Iron Man" franchise remains to be a hot issue amongst Marvel fans. Many are still waiting to know if Robert Downey Jr. remains to be the man behind the red suit, as there are speculations that a 15-year old girl, named Riri Williams, will take over his role. The news was met with varying opinions and even Downey himself gave his own two cents.

Honestly it's okay to reboot Iron Man in the comics, but in the MCU I don't need a new IM after RDJ. They should retire the character for a while. There are many other movies coming and there's no need for a new Iron Man. If a new movie is considered, then it should be a RDJ movie, at least for one last time.

RDJ is getting too expensive, Marvel will see deminishing returns on his appearances. Personally I'd like to see him get another solo movie, even if it's to ultimately hand off the roll to Rescue or Iron Patriot or a new Iron Man altogether.
