How about it's a small world???

Instead of just trying to make references to the ride itself (since there aren't many that could be done), I would suggest references to the Tomorrowlands of the past and present. Pretty much any film that involves traveling through space at some point would work, as that is really the only thing that would be a direct connection to the ride. I would really like to see a retro-70's look at the future, with a lot of kitsch, similar to the Incredibles with the early 60's.

Some other attractions that would make great movies would be the Jungle Cruise, Big Thunder (I would drop the Mountain Railroad from the name for a movie, but who doesn't love a western?), Matterhorn (sure, there's Third Man on the Mountain, but nobody's ever seen that and there's a ton that could be done), Autopia (sort of a cross between Cars and a movie about traffic, I swear it looks better in my mind than it sounds right now), Expedition Everest, perhaps the railroad, Grizzly River Run or Kali, Kilimanjaro Safari (but don't over do the poacher thing), and Splash Mountain (they have some great characters there, so it's a wonder that they've never bothered to make a movie out of them).
    : )

I do not recall a Space Mountain film announcement. I do recall Mission to Mars, which was actually made and released. Completing that circle, a Mission to Mars film exhibit appeared in Tomorrowland's American Space Experience, now the home of Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blasters.

I would understand a Playhouse Disney direct to video movie based on it's a Small World but nothing else.
