"Prosecutors charged a prominent GOP fundraiser Monday with theft and money laundering in an investigation of a controversial state investment in rare coins that has embroiled Republicans in scandal during an election year.

"Noe, 51, already faced charges of using colleagues and associates to illegally funnel $45,000 to President Bush's re-election campaign. The new counts include forgery, theft, money laundering and tampering with records.

I ordinarily wouldn't post something like this, but I noticed that Drudge Report for some reason has not linked a story to this one yet, and I wanted to make sure that those of you that have limited sources for news didn't miss it.

Hey libs.... all your " scandals " are not going to magically give you any ideas that Americans will elect you on.

But you can keep trying as my side laughs all the way to more seats in congress and 4 more years in the White House.

Does it really matter if you get more seats in the midterm? The GOP already has the majority in both Chambers and they have the executive. Yet they still claim that the Democrats are preventing them from getting anything accomplished.

Somehow in GOP-land, even having the majority in 2/3 of the government still is not enough to keep them from whining.

Nope. I wasn't saying that at all, but here sure does seem to be an unbalanced share of GOP folks under investigation lately. Ethics violations, bribery, money laundering, obstruction, forgery...

When does the 1994 "Contract on America" expire?

Under investigation??? So in your world they are guilty before being convicted?

Tell ya what... when you get a bunch of convictions of Republicans you can crow how corrupt the GOP is.

    :)

Funny fow the left lost the last election because they were said to have no moral values.

I'm not even going to bother to get you the list of disgraced democrats starting with Bill Clinton himself who was impeached for perjury.

That's funny, I'd almost get exactly the opposite impression by reading Darkbeer's frequent links to "politicians in trouble" news stories. Although mostly (perhaps all) legitimate news stories, the fact that they are so selectively chosen would almost lead one to believe that someone was doing so on purpose to give a skewed impression to someone that only used that news source. In fact, it's strikingly similar to what Drudge Report does.

It's nice to have a balance.

Yes, it's funny, but not really in a "ha ha" kind of way.
