It's that he thinks some are too crazy to win, especially in non-gerrymanderable senate races. There are plenty of far-right senators who don't come across as crazy, and I doubt Rove would have a problem with them. But if you come off as crazy (see: O'Donnell, Akin, Mourdoch, Engel, to take 2 from each of the past two elections), then Rove has a problem; he hates the fact that eminently-winnable-for-Republican seats were lost to Democrats because the GOP primary voters insisted on choosing someone demonstrably crazy. <This guy rivals only Trump for worst hair.> I'm not the first to say this, but seriously: if you're going to buy a rug made of human hair... why pubes?
