Currently the ideas they are throwing around for the movie is a time travel video where you start in CA when Walt started to modern day or option two is sorin over the United States. I hope they do the time travel myself. Anyone else hear about this? BTW: This update isn't planned until 2012-2013

But yes - I would be happy to hear of a new film in the planning stages now. That means they may actually have it installed in three or four years. It's not particularly difficult to film new scenes, especially for a company that's a film studio at it's base. There's no reason for a new film to be so california centric - especially since this attraction has become popular in other parks. How about a "salute to all nations, but mostly america"? Like Hans suggested, have us 'depart' CA to keep a toe in the water of the overall CA theme, then down the vegas strip, through the grand canyon, past mt rushmore, duck under the st louis arch, over DC, fly past manhattan and the statue of liberty, over there is big ben, over here is the eiffel tower, there goes the leaning tower of pisa, I thought I saw the roman colusseum, oh look it's a pyramid, that must be the great wall, that must be diamond head, and hey, it's disneyland USA! It even smells like churros.

In my opinion digital 3D is far superior to what is in Star Tours at the moment even with the clumsy glasses.

I would absolutely love a new film like that.
