Well, if those local chinese will work for cheap and Universal recycles/replicates all those existing attractions...... which we can safely assume that they will reuse those designs from Orlando, Hangapore and Dubai..........then maybe 1.5 B is enough.

Referring to the Orlando properties .... if Disney gets wind Universal is doing something big, Disney reacts by racing to the start line before they do. They couldn't just "Do something" because they are in the showmanship business and want to give the public what they want ... They'd rather wait till somebody else plans something .. THEN they react.

So isn't it safe to say that the theme park will not get anywhere near the full 1.5 B? I'm just saying that look what 1.5 got us last time in 2001: DCA and DTD, aka pile of dung. Now wasn't IOA/City Walk/ Loews Hotels in 1999 approx. 2 billion? And we got something truly great I say.

And you're probably right that most of it will be cloned. But, that seems fairly typical of both Universal and Disney, at least with the design of the original park. Look how similar USJ and USF are in overall design. Not identical, but definitely similar. USJ took the best attractions of both USF & IOA and merged them together into a similar looking and designed park to USF, at least in overall layout.
