The review in portion is as follows from Yahoo...

loved the movie. If you are a Christian, you should easily be able to see the types of Christ, (Aslan) and sinful man (Edmond) Satan (White Witch) sin's deception, and enslavement. The required payment for the penalty of sin (treason against the law, "don't eat of this tree Adam" ) and how satan (white witch) is the "accuser of the brethren". But how the law requires the blood of the guilty, but there is a way of escape, which is the blood of the completely innocent (Christ/Aslan) to pay for the sin of the guilty, and that is what Aslan (Christ) "chooses" to do. Available redemption through the blood of Christ, and the resurrection and final triumph of God, over sin, death, satan, evil is all here, in a fabulous presentation of the type. My whole family thoroughly enjoyed the movie. I can't say enough good about it. I hope it knocks hollywood's socks off. Just think, a family movie without one homosexual love triangle shoved down our throats, not one curse word, not one nude or love/sex scene, and people still love it! What will they think of next??

I personally have found that most family films don't involve any of the above mentioned comments...Have I missed something when it comes to family films these days?

Also, there is a stong corralation between a more restrictive rating (R) and a lower box office total. You have to go down to number 10 on the all time top grossing films to find an R and that's _Passion of the Christ_ a film supported by many Christian churches, the next R is Matrix Reloaded at 25.

If movies were ONLY made to make money Rs would be very rare. However, movies are also made to satisfy creative drive, impress peers, ect., so Rs get made.

He's also said that the White Witch is *not* Satan---because the books aren't allegory like many seem to think.

But that aside, I'm so thrilled that most people are really diggin' the film! :-D

But please, since you're a first-time reader, I honestly think it will be more magical and charming for you if you read them in the original published order:

    Lion
    Prince Caspian
    Voyage of the Dawn Treader
    Silver Chair
    Horse and His Boy
    Magician's Nephew
    Last Battle

The other way just isn't the same...*especially* if it's your first time.
