Just a few more properties and they'll have the entire block! (for parking!)

I've often been underwhelmed by the selection at the 7-11 on the northwest corner of that intersection, so it's great to have more options! I'm just surprised that they're all clustered in that one spot

There use to be a motel there and other retail. Walgreens must have bought it. Or maybe it's small multistory strip mall.

The company that controlled the motel is handling the redevelopment (Zaby's LP). There aren't any plans to develop the parking lot so buying another parcel of land that I think is landlocked between the iHop and Little Boy Blue Motel doesn't make sense. The Carousel buy was an opportunity that made sense to land bank the site and also generate revenue from the hotel operators.
