I like the atmosphere of a small town rodeo. I think that job is one of the things I miss about Missouri.

The same reason that poker is. People watch it. Niether are hardly athletic, but sport doesnt necessarily equal athletic.

As far as bull riding, Jayna and I go to the PBR here in Anaheim every year. She loves it and I like seeing the clowns get chased.

I can't imagine myself going to a rodeo to watch bullriding. And I can't believe it's as popular as it is.

anyways, I think alot of the attraction is also the same as it is to NASCAR. People watch nascar for the wrecks and I think they watch bull riding for the falls and mauling.

Tom, I think I've told you before, but I have a boatload of relatives in the small farming towns near (the bustling metropolis of) Chillicothe. My Mom was one of 12 kids - actually 13, as one died as a child - so I have relatives galore out there.

Rodeos I understand. But when one of my cousins took me to a tractor pull, at first all my raised-in-SoCal self could think was "okay... I know these people and I have the same blood coursing through our veins, but..." - then I found myself kind of getting into it. And thinking "okay, I guess that blood really DOES course through my veins.

Trying to explain a tractor pull when I got back to SoCal was priceless, though.

So I guess I better find me a trucker hat, a plaid shirt and get me a dip.

The storylines leading up to the matches are scripted and certain things in the matches are scripted. But you really can't fake being hit with a chair.
