It wasn't like Obama went against the military's wishes. It was the perfect example of the power of the military industrial complex over our system. All the senators who opposed it all live in states with big military contracts. It was a good thing for our country that someone finally said no to these people.

Of course, that would require exiting the wars we're in now somehow, and then not getting into any others unless through a TRUE international coalition that is a shared expense for all concerned. But, I guess that will never happen. *sigh*
