What I have found is that I will be paying about two grand more for basically the same cruise than I would by using another cruise line.

Is the extra money worth it???

    Feedback please!!!

Being in Southern Cali, we have access to all the Disney magic right at our fingertips. Should I pay extra to have that same "happy" feeling on a cruise ship?

    :+)

From what I hear, Disney is worth it. They have great programs that Tiggerbell (15) will adore, as in, no parents allowed! She'll make new friends and you'll make new friends.

I've cruised Celebrity, Royal Caribbean and NCL and they all have their plus and minuses. When I get enough extra money put away hubby and I want to take our daughter and grandson on a Disney cruise because I know Andre would have the most fun on it. As far as hubby and I we love them all, cruising is GREAT!

The best vacation we've ever taken and we've taken a bunch. In fact...while on board, we booked another one for May 2007. For this one in July, we booked in May, 2004 and splurged big time with a verandah, catagory 6. It was expensive but we feel worth every penny. The food was great, could have used a little more "steak", but that's just me...:) Otherwise we saw lots of shows, movies, took advantage of the spa and even had a personal trainer work me over like never before! ha..ha.. They had a great band and even though my son doesn't like to dance, I didn't let that stop me! It was so much fun.... The only thing I noticed was after getting off the ship, it took about 2 weeks for me to get my "sea legs" back. I felt like I was rocking and sometimes had to grab onto a table walking by. I've never experienced that before..other than that we had a great time.

Going on a Disney Cruise is Magical and everyone is happy and friendly. We were pampered and we met so many people. It was hard to say goodbye...but we shared a lot of hugs and we have so many memories.

Only 595 days until we sail again. Geezzzzzz, I wish it were today!! ºoº

There were 3 of us ladies, and a total of 4 kids, including my son. The other children were younger, but we seemed to hit it off really well. I thought it would be awkward at first, but everyone relaxed and got to know each other quickly.

Going during Christmas should be wonderful! We were on the ship for the 4th of July so they celebrated it in style. Including fireworks. You'll have a great time...if you have any other questions, feel free to ask. I'll try and answer best I can. Otherwise there are many other travelers on the boards that are experienced too. ºoº

Like MsLindanne, we had a category 6 with verandah and really enjoyed it. The entire cruise was the most luxurious vacation I've ever experienced. Also, I think that Disney is the only cruise line authorized to have a fireworks show from the ship, which is incredible!
