    The Senator in the story is pushing to halt passage of a stopgap bill to keep the millions of unemployed from receiving their benefits. This as Congress rushes to get out of Dodge for Spring Recess.

    You could donate money to his opponent.

    However, just like with the Texas pair, your efforts would probably be futile. If you REALLY want to make a difference, best thing to do is target races which are winnable (but tough) and get to work phonebanking, donating, mailing stuff, whatever they need (all the campaigns know just how to use out of state volunteers). :)
