They had meetings at the mines and were told how to vote and that if their guy lost, the hammer would fall. This is an amazingly poor area, and NO ONE messes with the coal company. I truly think MOST of you guys would be stunned if you were just to dive through here. My kids elem. school literally has a toxic sludge pond RIGHT above it. It has a leaking earthen dam, and the toxins are seeping into the ground water. My kids school that is right next to it uses well water. They are instructed to NEVER, EVER EVER!!!!!!! to drink or eat ANYTHING from there. The coal companies kill people here right and left, they are removing the tops of the mountains so that one of the most beautiful states in the nation looks like Mars, and they get away with it. The pictures of the Chief Justice at Monaco with the CEO came out before the election and he still won by a huge margin. People here are scared a desperate.
