The two figures are excellent - and the show is good - I’m not sure that they have conveyed the idea of what this makeover is about fully - people seemed slightly confused as to why this was in place of the normal show., and I didn’t feel that the story of Treasure Planet was as fully presented as it could have been, although I am pleased that it reatined its educational element.

I really enjoyed photographing the two characters, but that may be all I really got out of it. Put this way, if you asked me to go again, I would say no...!

On the question about the first fictional characters in wax - (and I think this is how Tussaud’s market it themselves) - means that they are charcters which have not been played by an actor - in reference to DrWho -the figures were based on the actors who portrayed the role - as they were really what made the character of DrWho. Indiana Jones is in the film room - but it is Harrisson Ford that is effectively being shown.

The TP characters have no living reference as it were.

I should add that we actually went on a 2 for 1 offer that BP gas stations had in the U.K. There are always offers like that around and it is worth looking out for them. It should also be cheaper once the little tykes have gone back to school next week.

Also, if you have a Nectar loyalty card, you can use the vouchers to gain access to any Tussauds Group attraction. I think it is about 4-5 vouchers for each adult there. That is only about 10-12.50 GBP in actual face value of the certificates.

There is also always the Annual Pass! It is about 100 GBP and covers all of the parks and attractions, including Thorpe Park. Chessington and Alton Towers.

I had a chance to see the Madame Tussauds at 42st Times Square NYC. It was a nice visit but nothing I feel the need to do again in the near future.
