We just got back from Animal Kingdom in Florida. We had an amazing time. One of my kids (and my) favorite places in the park was the Dinoland Play Maze. It had foamy rubber ground and lots of slides, net stairs, suspended bridges, tunnels and hidden caverns. It had lots of seating for the parents and had a single enter/exit spot. My kids ran and slid and played and climbed. It was wonderful to have them run off some of their energy without the worry of them running out of site or running into an elderly person or a baby and knocking them over.

So my question is..Why can't we have something like that , of course themed differently, in Toontown. I think it would be a wonderful addition. Especially since all the other slide, climb, jump and play attractions in toontown have closed down. I really like the idea of having all the element of play in one enclosed area. It is really hard when you have little ones to go all day with them being very patient standing in line, and not have somewhere to let them loose and just play.

    What do you think?

Tom Sawyer Island is the traditional spot to take the kids to let off steam. Across the esplanade there's the Redwood Creek recreation area. But what you describe sounds like it would be fun in Toontown.

The island is too big, and it is really easy for a young child to loose himself and not know how to get back to where his parents are. Plus, as a mom, I am always listening for my childs cry. On Tom Sawyer, the kid could fall, get hurt, and I would not be able to hear his cry to know when/where to look for him.

I am starting a push for a Dinoland Play Maze like area to be put in ToonTown.

If the lawyers let it exist in AK, then they should let us have it in DL.

Orlando has not quite reached that point. Enjoy it while you can.

I would assume it will be about on the same level given that they aren't making a big deal out of it and they haven't really said what it will be like. Expect a glorified cardboard box so the worst case scenario meets your expectations. Then it would be easy for them to exceed your expectations. The play areas they've been doing recently have been heading in that direction.
