Currently the ad running on here on LP.

"They say .. right off the original camera negative."

How's that possible? I doubt Disney is sanctioning this. So how is it this DVD transfer can come off the original camera negative?

    Any comments appreciated.

Source would be either the Chinese laserdisc or the British VHS. The former did not come from anything resembling the camera negative. Have not seen the latter, but it's PAL VHS, so would look like doodoo regardless. A PAL to NTSC transfer would run fast and have conversion jitter in addition to VHS resolution. Since the cover art is lifted from the VHS, that's probably the source.

Actually, given the production values of that website, you'd be fortunate if it had a picture at all.

At any rate, anyone who would pay $18.99 for that disc is absolutely off their rocker. If you insist on buying a bootleg, why not make it a cheap one?
