I love Fantasmic but I am selfish with my Disney time so (a.) I don't really want to sit on hard cement for an extended time and (b). I still want a fabulous seat :)

It's usually right behind a reserved seating area (in between French Market and Cafe Orleans) but since the guests are seated I get a great view. Good luck and have fun!

I always go to the second showing of Fantasmic. When the end of the first showing is near I go to the Riverbell Terrace for a late dinner (which may change since I heard they changed the menu) and stalk around until the show is finished. When it is, they clear everyone out, then I grab the closest table I can and their I sit to the next show. I know that requires sitting for a while, but I normally wait to have dinner then so it is not so bad. Tanya

I might try that next time...I think we tried a variation of that before the first show and I went way too early and my DD wouldn't sit still and we wound up leaving.

I bring a dollar store plastic pinic table cover with me and spread it out where I want to be. Last time we were right up to the rail. Thought the fence would bug be during the show but it just disappeared from my sight when the show started. We use our cell phones to locate whoever saved the spot and someone gets snacks/ drinks, and we are set. Much less wait time, and the table cover creates a "don't crowd me boundary". Toss the cover when it is over.

(I kid, I learned about it here, too).

The center light tower comes down between shows. I've never tried standing benhind it for the first show...we always go to the late show. I've often wondered why Tower B is the only tower to come back down during the evening. There are people up in Towers A & C, but it seems they remain up there between shows. The operators up in Tower B climb down between shows. It's interesting to watch them climb up while you're waiting.

The cool part about standing there (if you have seen the show many times before) is watching the people at the controls. If you know when the pyro flashes are coming, look over at the control table. All at once, you will see all 3 - 4 of them raise their arms up to shield their eyes with their hands just before the flashes. They're so in sync with it, too. It cracked me up the first time I noticed it. The next night, I had to tell hubby about it so he could watch them, too.

    Enjoy the show, everyone!
