I wasn't convinced that it was time to transform TSI into Pirate's Lair, but... Well, maybe it is. Can't wait to hear your report after it opens!

This is extremely thoughtful for guests that aren't mobile, but again they actually DIDN'T have to do this... since they could've stood by the fact that it was a 'pre-ADA' attraction being refurbished and wouldn't have had to been brought up to code. Of course, there is much of the island that remains a children's playground with tiny hallways and such that simply wouldn't have worked with wheelchairs, and as such WERE saved with the 'grandfather' clause. Just like with the Submarine "viewing" room... they couldn't 'gotten off scott-free' with the fact that the subs would've been 'grandfathered', but they went the extra mile and provided an area for wheelchair guests to get a 'virtual' ride of the subs. Kudos for Disney for this thoughtful act.... and a curse on ye mateys who still complain that Disney doesn't accomodate the wheelchair bound.

I hope I'm wrong, and I hope that, even if people get sick of Jack Sparrow, Barbossa and the rest of em, the island will still be fun and not too dated ("Remember that Pirates craze at the turn of the century?"). I know we can all forgive bad wierd mixed themes if they're well done (ie: America Sings, The Columbia on a River(?), Splash Mountain next to a New Orleans Mansion), but part of me wishes they could have done all this without sacrificing this small simple bit of Frontierland.
