Does anybody know anymore? Has this been made official yet?

I'm looking forward to the technology, but less inspired by the theme. As fun as it is I still don't think Disney got it right with Toon Studios!!!

WDI have pitched a new dark ride experience for a pad of land behind the existing Magic of Disney Animation building at the park. The attraction will use the track-less system that was developed for Tokyo Disneyland’s Pooh’s Hunny Hunt back in 2000 and has not been used for a dark ride at any park since. Guests will be shrunk to the size of Remy as they are chased through the kitchen by Chef Skinner and his cohorts. The attraction will play with scale throughout as the four-man ride vehicles careen around the world of Ratatouille. The attraction has received the approval of John Lasseter as his preferred next E-ticket for the Walt Disney Studios Park. The black-box soundstage will sit immediately behind the Magic of Disney Animation & Cars Quatre Roues Rallye and extend Toon Studio into the area. The attraction is likely to be the centerpiece of the 20th anniversary in 2012.

They also built Aquatopia shortly after Hunny Hunt opened, so I don't think it's a lack of ability of ways to use the technology, but something else. By the time they actually get around to designing, building, and testing the heck out of a Ratatouille attraction, it would be right around 10 years after Hunny Hunt first opened, which seems like a reasonable time period to have the technology exclusively belong to the OLC.

Its good to know despite a recession, Disney are looking ahead to the future and it will probarely end up saving the Company money, as the demand for building materials is low at the moment.
