Originally Posted By dagobert My favourite animated Disney TV shows were DuckTales, Gummibears, TaleSpin and Chip ’n Dale Rescue Rangers. Every Saturday afternoon the German publich broadcaster had a show named The Disney Club. In that show they presented new stuff from Disney World, did quiz shows with the audience (mostly kids) and they showed those animated tv shows. I loved the Disney Club. Later it moved to another broadcaster and then it was taped at WDW and shown Sunday afternoon. Instead of the animated tv shows we got a Disney movie.

I think MDE was in office only 9 months or so before the show aired so I think it is a little bit of rewriting history to suggest it was his idea. I used to have a fondness for Rescue Rangers too. It was probably the most popular of those titles in the UK and aired a lot in the old Disney Club format. TaleSpin was also entertaining. I never got into any of the non-Disney stuff like Teacher's Pet, Recess, Pepper Ann, Doug etc. Treasure of the Lost Lamp is still equal first in my favorite of the DTV-type movies - alongside A Goofy Movie. However they can't compensate for the truckload of manure that followed such as Pocahontas 2 and Hunchback 2.
