As much as I would love to collect all the Disney films... again, I'm just going to stick with my favorites. I'm patiently waiting for The Jungle Book to come out.

I can imagine those trying to build the DVD collection... they buy 101 Dalmatians, Tarzan, New Groove and Mulan, only for special editions of them to come out later. And then you'll have a mix of the Gold, Masterpiece, Special and Platinum editions, along with the movies that had no special collection label, like Great Mouse Detective and Oliver & Company.

Disney did that with the VHS in the later years too, with all of their movies being 'classics' until Lion King came out, in which all the movies were now 'masterpieces'.

*gasp* 5BR! So you don't have the the cows' twist of the famous three little pigs in the special features of "Home on the Range" with its unique patchwork look during the cows' storytelling.

I notice that the patchwork theme was running rampant through HOTR, kind of like how the art in the Finding Nemo books have a 60s look to them.

Are these Platinum, or just "regular" Special Edition? It seems that the Gold Label has been dropped.
