With outrageous prices, the crowds and how i always seem to catch something at Disneyland i cant say i am rushing to go back any time soon. I travel a lot on airplanes and to other places and never get sick anywhere else. Does anyone else seem to catch anything from the parks?

Same length of stay, same basic go-to-the-parks behavior, same airline, etc. But I didn't get sick. And I don't get sick typically when flying to other destinations on the east coast. I've determined that it's the resort stay on property that's doing it, not the visits in the parks nor the 5 hour flight from SFO. And FWIW, I never got sick in the nineties when staying at Wilderness Lodge nor about 10 years ago when I've stayed a few times at AKL. Getting sick has been a more recent phenomenon. I'm going to blame cost cutting measures regarding room cleaning. The guest rooms are probably overgrown petri dishes that rarely get major sanitizing from top to bottom.

I dont think i will ever be going to Disneyland any longer than a few days now.

Apparently, it's even more important in a hospital room - again, people don't tend to think of it, but a lot of bad stuff is spread in hospitals via the remotes.

Originally Posted By tashajilek "but I assumed it was from being constantly on the run with little sleep." Thats the thing too, it's really hard to take it easy on a Disney vacation. When i got sick i stayed for a few hours then went to the hotel for rest and went back later. It probably didnt help it was very busy and the time of year people get sick.

Common colds have a couple days gestation period. If you flew, then it's just as likely you got sick on the plane, regardless of what happens when you're going anywhere else. You traveled during cold season and you got a cold. Don't blame Disneyland. And even if you did get sick at the Park, what do you propose they do about it?

Huh? when did i say they should do anything?? what could they do? im just saying for me i dont think i will bother going much anymore because i seem to get sick often while visiting. "If you flew, then it's just as likely you got sick on the plane," It's possible, but with a 2 hour flight im not so sure. I fly a good 6 times a year and never get sick anywhere else but Disneyland. One time we drove and got sick too.

"I have been sick from several visits to the park, or hotel, or whatever, but it was from a Disneyland vacation for sure. Do I blame the park? No, but I do blame people who drag themselves in even when they are at their contagious worst." On mainstreet a few days ago i saw a girl laying on the bench coughing away, she looked like she was dying. "Does this count? 25 years ago I took a date to Disneyland. Do you still order the Monte Cristo? lol.
