It is marked off where you are to go in based off where you have dined

(Maybe on super-busy evenings, but a local could answer that better.) So it's not like you have to do the dining package to guarantee you'll get to see it at all. It would only be to get the best spot. If you get to the park near opening and get your fastpass (at GRR), you'll be in a very good spot anyway. Maybe not THE best, but quite good. So I don't know that I'd do the dining package unless you wanted to eat at one of those places anyway. I can't speak to Ariel's, but Carthay is wonderful - pricy, but wonderful. And you will get the best spots. But if you don't want to spend that much for dinner, know that you can get still-very-good-spots simply by showing up near opening and getting regular fastpasses. One other advantage of the dining package is that you can choose WHICH showing of WOC you want to see, if there's more than one. Check the website; I think if you dine between x-PM and x-PM you get the early show, and between y-PM and y-PM you get the late show. So you do have that control. With the GRR fastpass machines, I'm pretty sure they give out all the early show spots first, THEN the later show. So getting there early would snag you a good spot for the early show, but if you preferred the late show it would be hard to time (i.e. hard to know what time those machines would stop distributing for the early show and moved on to the late one.) I think I have that right... anyone?
