Until the half-wits arrive, we decide to ride. We hit POTC, HM, and Splash. While waiting in line for BTMRR, the half-wits call. It is 10:00, and they are just entering the gates. They ask us to meet them at the wheelchair rental when we get off the ride.

When we get there, the Mad Hatter is leading a group of adult males in a game of dance...BIL is one of them.

We ask them what they want to do...they have no clue, so we take them on POTC, HM, Jungle Cruise, and Indy. They loved all the rides.

They then said they were hungry and they wanted to have the chowder bread bowls that they saw other people eating. We took them to the Riverbelle Terrace for chowder bowls, but not one of them ordered one...they all ordered sandwiches.

After lunch, we asked them if they wanted to go on Splash. Dad had noticed earlier that we were wet, and asked if Splash was the ride that did it. We told him that it was. He said that he didn't want to get wet, and wondered what row he should sit in. I told him that he would have to sit in front if he didn't want to get wet. He actually believed that, sat in the front and got soaked. Thankfully, dad has a good sense of humor, and laughed about it, but said that he wasn't going to listen to us again. We bought him the ride picture and a cool frame to put it in.

Off to BTMRR. Sis 1 (the barfer) asked if she could ride this. I told her that she would barf...she sat out. Mom was standing RIGHT THERE when I told sis 1 that it was VERY intense, and VERY fast. Mom asked if it was a ride she could go on...we told her "yes".

Dad and DH managed to squeeze in a car with mom, and the rest of us sat ahead of them. We had used the wheelchair entrance, and when the CM saw mom get out of her chair, he looked a bit concerned. We were all snickering. Soon after the ride started up, mom started screaming that she wanted off, and dad and DH spent the whole ride holding mom's wig to her head, and laughing at her. When we got off the ride, the CM patted mom on the shoulder and told her "good job". The rest of us gave her high-fives, and told her that she did great. She said she wasn't listening to us about rides anymore and called us rotton.

The half-wits then said that they wanted to ride Soarin', so off to CA we went. We were able to get the front row. Everyone loved it...even the barfer, who looked a bit queasy when she got off, but said she would ride it again.

The next ride they chose was Grizzley. Mom, dad, DH, DD, and myself were in one raft. We got drenched by the two geysers in the middle of the river. Dad cracked me up. He saw we were going to get hit, and he screamed "NOOOOOOOOOOOO"...kind of in slow motion. The rest of the half-wits had seen us take a direct hit, and gave us pats on the back when we got off.

It was hot, so getting wet actually felt good. We stood in the sun to dry off a bit, but mom wouldn't get out of her chair. She had white pants on, and she was afraid that her underwear would show through her wet pants. DH told her to stand up and he would check. When mom stood up, DH says VERY loudly..."Jeez, mom, you didn't put on ANY underwear on at all." Mom clubbed DH, and the rest of us got a good laugh.

By now, the 6:30 parade was about to begin, so we went back to DL to watch. The half-wits loved it, but were getting cold. We told them to jet to their hotel and change and come back, but they just wanted to go back to the hotel. Party poopers.

We hung out until closing. We rode Pooh, ate Churros, corn dogs, popcorn, and had Dole Whips. We rode POTC again, the Matterhorn, and BTMRR. We checked out the fireworks again, and then we shopped Main Street until the park closed. We went back to the hotel where we scarfed up left-over Chinese food. We weren't even hungry, but it was there.

I'll try to get in day 3 yet today, but I don't know if I'll be able to...I have a few piles on my desk I should peek at.

What a lovely report! Wasn't too half-witted at all, really. Dare I call it "normal"? Quite normal, actually. You really do have a lovely family and I loved the BTMRR story the best, I think! :)

Well, you may think that things are fine now, but day 4 is where "it" hits the fan.

We have a bit of a "stupid" on day 3 as well.

I am amazed and very impressed that you slept for about 3 hours and went from EE to closing!

I tried to get her to commit to a meal or two in a restaurant but she would insist on waiting until she was starving and then choosing somewhere based on the length of the line only and then would look at other people's food and say, "Mmm that looks good. I wonder where they got that?"
    I learned to say nothing.
I also tried to make PSs for the Blue Bayou, my treat, to celebrate their birthdays but she didn't want to "commit to having lunch at a certain time.
We were then passing by it at noon when she always eats lunch and she said, "That looks like a good place to eat, I wonder if we could get in?"
I just told her she should go ask and laughed and laughed!
Some people, like the half-wits, just cannot be helped!
Now I'm going to read Day 3 and have another good laugh!

I really think it is great though that you are willing to spend this time at Disneyland with your family, no matter what!
