Now that I work at Disney, I find that it is often my role to educate my co-workers in who these Disney Legends are, people that WE all know of and appreciate so much. It pains me to say that most people here in the DVD audio division had no idea who I was talking about yesterday when I first heard the news. I will forward the link to the article to many here in hopes that they will take the time to gain some appreciation for Frank Thomas' life and amazing contributions to this company and to the art of animation.

And I will never forget Frank Thomas or the image I have of him shuffling along with his walker - and honking the attached bycicle horn at unsuspecting passers-by. :)

Contact Katie H. Patrykus, Manager of Annual Programs, at 661 253-7736 or via email at give@calarts.edu and in your note say that you want your gift to go specifically to the Character Animation Program.

You can also go to http://calarts.edu/about/giftf
ormcalarts.pd and then fill out the form and enclose it along with your preferred method of payment and mail it to:
CalArts Office of Advancement
24700 McBean Parkway
Valencia, CA 91355-2397
Credit card gifts may also be accepted by phone by calling 661 253-7736
MOST IMPORTANT - REPEAT - MOST IMPORTANT IS TO LET THEM KNOW (1) THAT THE GIFT IS IN HONOR OF THE LATE FRANK THOMAS (2) THAT THE GIFT IS RESTRICTED EXCLUSIVELY FOR THE CHARACTER ANIMATION PROGRAM & (3) ASK THAT THEY SEND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF THE GIFT TO BOTH YOU AND THE THOMAS FAMILY (they have the address already).
If you use the printed gift form, you write these specifics in the section called "additional information you would like to include."

Gifts to CalArts are tax-deductible.
