OR in Epcot, in front of the Land pavillion, where the rocks are on the bottom... those two places are IMHO the most peaceful and beautiful of all. If not there, Jordan Pond, near Bar Harbor Maine would be THE most beautiful place I recall.

It was nice of them, but I really think it was a ploy for me to provide, in my will, for enough money to send them all to Florida. They looked altogether to anxious for this to happen -- soon.

After all I nearly proposed at DLP (did eventually propose a few weeks later), we tried to conceive at Sequoia Lodge and the Grand Californian. So death makes sense too at Disney. But don't tell them, they may open a new pavillion at WDW and charge $30,000 for your coffin to be pulled in Cinderella's coaches, $15,000 for a wake in Cinderella's castle, and for an added fee, a character could read your eulogy. But as a part of Year of Million Dreams (after all this latest marketing scheme is actually a tribute to death - after all am I dead or sleeping) - Disney are giving away 10 Disney burial plans and 5 Illuminations cremations. Act now, and get a discount for extending your DVC contract indefinately! BTW - some companies do really put ashes in fireworks. One way to go out with a bang!

Originally Posted By Kar2oonMan >>Are cremated ashes a health issue? Once a body is cremated, are all the ills of that body destroyed?<< There aren't any health risks presented by cremated remains. However, it's against the law to spread them without a permit most public places. Disneyland, as private property, most surely would deny any such requests. From funerals.org/faq: >>There is no reason you can't keep the cremated remains in the cardboard or plastic box that comes from the crematory. In ALL states it is legal to scatter or bury cremated remains on private property (with the land-owner's permission). Cremation is considered "final disposition" because there is no longer any health hazard. There are no "cremains police" checking on what you do with cremated remains.<< >>Do people have a problem with just the ghoulishness of it all?<< While I know that cremated remains aren't a health risk, I'm not wild about the idea of "grandpa dust" getting kicked up into the air of my Doom Buggy for me to inhale, thank you very much. >>Or is it unsanitary?<< If someone is leaving the entire cremated remains of a person, that would be a substantial size pile, roughly the size of a shoebox. Among the ashes would be bone fragments and such. Unlike pixie dust, it would leave a large greyish white pile that would just be tracked through, or need to be swept up. It's gross to think of that throughout the park. But, if it's good enough for Six Flags... ; )
