Is there an internal bus for Caribbean Beach? I requested a building near the food court (Martinique or Trinidad North) because of my mom's walking issues, but I'm worried about getting from the Custom House after check in to the room. Does resort transportation stop at the Custom House first, then move on to the other stops throughout the resort? If so, we could just jump on that bus and ride over to the room.

I know my mom's going to be tired, and it will be even harder for her to walk than usual. I just want to make sure I can get her to the room safely and with as few problems as possible. Thanks!

The custom house is the main stop, then it goes around the loop towards the shop and restaurant and around the resort back to the custom house.

    Hope this helps.

I guess I would consider Old Port Royale the "main stop" rather than the Custom's House, but it really doesn't make much difference. The busses circulate almost constantly and stop wherever there are people waiting. Probably the only time you would ever take the bus from the Custom’s House is after you first check-in. After that you will probably never visit there again.

You will usually be traveling from either your resort area or from Old Port Royale. CBR is VERY spread out, but I think the bus service is very good. We stayed there once without a car and didn't find it to be a problem at all.

    Have fun!!

My only concern is that our plane doesn't arrive until 9:45 at night. I'm sure by the time we actually get to CBR it will probably be around 12:00 or so. I hope the bus is still running at that time!

    Not a problem!!

If you get in after the bus stops running they will take you and your luggage to your rooms in a golf cart. We got in to the Wilderness Campground one night at about 1:00 AM and they took us right to our cabin door in a golf cart. It was actually better service than you get when the busses are running!

That is the absolute coolest thing about a Disney vacation. You never have to worry. They will ALWAYS take care of you!!

When we were at Old Key West they gave us a ride to our room even though we checked in during the middle of the day.

We originally booked at Riverside, but we got the passholder rate at CBR, so we switched. I've stayed at POR so many times that I can find my way around the resort with a blindfold on, but I've only stayed at CBR once, and that was about 12 years ago. I just remember that we never went to the food court because it was too far a walk!

We only have 91 days to go...I'm so excited!

I would imagine that if you kindly mentioned your mom's abilities, they might just take ya in a golf cart anyway regardless of your check-in time.

Me? I just plan on complaining all the way. I hate walking.

It is a beautiful resort. If my family hadn't fallen in love with the WL on our last trip, we would stay at the CBR again.

I figure we should get to the hotel around 8:00 or so. Regardless, I'm going to call the resort a few days before we arrive to let them know about my mom's condition and ensure that we have transportation to the room.

    We leave in 75 days!!!!
