I would let father-in-law decide. Has he been on Disney roller coasters before? Big Thunder Mountain, Matterhorn, both fun and exciting, but much more mild than say Millennium Force at Cedar Point, that goes 92 mph on the first drop. I take medication for high blood pressure, so I'm sensitive to this topic. I have ridden all the Disney coaster in California for years -- including 'California Screamin' [which has the loop] -- no problems for me. But they're not that intense, since I've been riding them since I was a kid. Goliath at Six Flags Magic Mountain. Once, and never again. Skipped the Millennium Force at Cedar Point -- looked too intense for me. I would probably not do 'Mission Space' at EPCOT for the same reason. But I digress. I'd leave it up to father in law and let him decide what he feels he can do. But no sense in pushing it, just so he can say 'he went on Space Mountain.'

She always anticipates the worst in some situations but that is her nature.

I think he knows his limitations but will be more certain with a doctors opinion.

Unfortuntely, after 1 day, he started having bloody noses from the meds and had to leave DL. My son also has a heart problem and he can ride anything that doesn't elevate his heart rate or throws him around so much he could hit his chest. All heart conditions are different as to what they can handle.
