I'm getting married Sat June 9th, we have about 80 guests total coming. The whole shebang is at a little hall out in a rural part of Sonoma County. It's not country, but def cute. The ceremony is being performed by my fiancee's Episcopalian (sp?) priest...he married my FIL and his 2nd wife, and my SIL and her hubby, and they still go to his church. The ceremony is outdoors on the deck at the hall at 4pm, hopefully it won't be too hot. Then the reception is inside, we're having a buffet dinner, chicken & tri tip, salad, veggies and bread. (side note..you wanted details girl!! heehee) My colors are dark red, ivory and silver as an accent color, and EVERYTHING has 2 linked/overlapped hearts on it. I have a matron of honor (my best friend) and 3 bridesmaids (my sis in law to be, another great friend/coworker, and another great friend/my matron of honor's 16 yr old daughter), they are wearing a GORGEOUS dark reddish color floor length skirt and matching color halter top decorated with crystals. I have 2 flowergirls, my 6 yr old neice to be and 10 yr old daughter of my matron of honor, both in pretty white matching dresses. My ringbearer is my matron on honor's 4 yr old son, all decked out in his tux, he's adorable! My hubby to be is wearing a black, no tails, tux with a white vest....his best man (best friend) and 3 groomsmen (another friend, brother in law and 2nd best friend--also the guy I dated before I met hubby to be..eek!!) all are in matching tuxes with red vests to match the girls dresses. WHEW Ok, my dress.....white, short sleeves, empire waist chiffon with satin overlay, short train, bodice is embellished with crystals and pearls. I have a white 3 layer (I think) veil that won't go over my face that my special auntie (aka mom's best friend of 50 yrs) has made for me, she also did all the alterations on my dress, is doing my hair, and has made the most BEAUTIFUL arbor decoration that we'll stand under when we get married. Let's see....we're doing traditional vows, going with the groom not seeing the bride before the ceremony thing, my future MIL is nuts, and I'm still stressed. Um, hmm the cake....3 stacked layers, white buttercream frosting, decorated with red and white pearls (frosting) along the bottom of each layer and red roses as a cake topper and a few on each layer. Honestly not sure what my centerpieces look like yet, supposedly red roses with smaller white flowers and silver squiggly stick things....it's part of the package deal. Um...that's about it in a nutshell...feel free to ask away about ANYTHING. I just feel special that anyone is interested! And I'm quite proud of what we've got going. I have planned everything myself and we did alot of it ourselves too (did our own invitations, favors, programs etc) OH yeah favors, we have shot glasses err in DL terms "toothpick holders" with our names and hearts in red, silver matchbooks with our names and the hearts, and round tins with red & white jordan almonds that my mom decorated with red & silver ribbon and my linked hearts ) Oh and no honeymoon right away, we're strapped after the wedding costs and things (sick dang dog is expensive!!) so we're actually saving for a trip to DL and San Diego in early December....that'll be our honeymoon Anyway, if you've actually read this whole LONG thing, thanks and I'm sorry ) 8 days and counting.....
