I'm personally no fan of Rancho del Zocalo, but I like the French Market. It's often said that Blue Bayou and now Cafe Orleans are the only full-service restaurants in Disneyland, but Carnation Cafe comes close and is my favorite place for breakfast.

Blue Bayou is only for atmosphere as the food is marginal at best and way overpriced. Plaza Inn is pretty much out as well as the last several times we have eaten there the food was so salty as to be close to inedible.

This is just our opinion and your mileage may vary.

So, so, so true! The food is awful and way over priced and the last few times we have been there the service hasn't been that great either!
    But the atmostphere is great...

IMHO, everything food related in DTD is overpriced. The mexican place (not sure if it's still in there?) was overpriced, food was poor and the service was lousy. And we are not picky people in general.

Have fun on your trip!! :)

I was quite pleasantly surprised by the prices at ESPN Zone. The entrees range from around $10-15, and are huge portions. Desserts are about $6, and quite tasty as well. Especially considering that they allow you to stay as long as you want (we wathed an entire football game there for no additional charge-we weren't in the big screen room but I counted 27 TV's showing that game that I could see from my seat-and without them trying to rush us at all, all through prime dinner hours) and everything, it's a great price. The service is fantastic, and the food is surprisingly delicious (the fettucini alfredo is to die for!). Sure, it probably costs a dollar or two more than a place like Chili's or Friday's, but factoring in the prompt and reliable service, location, and atmosphere, you really can't be it!

Since we just wanted to eat dinner, that was all we had to do and I never felt any pressure to eat and run. The food was very good, if too large portions for us, and the service was excellent and friendly.

I would totally disagree. We found the food and service to be excellent, and the prices were comparable to similar restaurants in the outside world.

funny, I find all the other places here somewhat overrated.

I suppose it all depends on when you go. I usually get reservations for when it opens in the day as then I am always able to get water side seating and soak up the atmosphere.

Steakhouse 55 is sublime. A really good quality restaurant with great steaks.

Goofy's Kitchen is fun, but the food is poor.

The Plaza Inn had a great breakfast buffet, with plenty of characters, and you can get in before the park opens!

the Blue Bayou is a fantastic restaurant, wonderful ambience, great service, great food.

The Vinyeard Room is excellent also, and remember it's where Club33 guests dine when Club 33 is closed.

Catal, Naples, Ralph Brennan's and RFC are ok, but nothing to write home about.

HOB has an awesome sunday brunch, and the weekly menu is ok too.

for counter service, we found Rancho Del Zocalo was excellent for fast food, and they serve on real plates!!!

And for something quick, the Corn Dogs at DCA cannot be beat (just avoid the cheese ones, way too salty). Or the Boudin place is not bad either.
