I always tell my children that we will probably never live in a big grand house because I would rather go on vacation and we always forgo spending money on our house to go to Disneyland! I really like the neighbourhood we live in.

Anywho, my neighborhood used to be a pretty swingin' neighborhood but now there are much better places to live. I wish I could move, but I can't afford to. Plus, there are so many memories in this house that I would miss it. My Grandpa died in this house, very peacefully in his sleep as I held his hand. We laid a patio in the backyard and spruced it up a bit so the backyard is one of my favorite places to hang out. That is, if the neighbors aren't home. Their loud music and loud antics drive me nuts!! I do have to give a shout-out to my two across-the-street-neighbors that make living there tolerable. They watch out for us single ladies and are the first to offer help if needed, whether it be moving appliances or taking garbage to the curb. I guess they don't think a gal should be doing a man's job. I love those guys!

We might be getting a loan modification. which has been a complete nightmare so far to try and accomplish. I'm hoping though. Because our house is perfect for us and I'd be really sad to have to leave it. I've done both of our kids room and made them both awesome. It'd break my heart to have to move away from their rooms.

We put in triple paned windows and turn on the fans. Hmm, maybe we will move. Then again in the not too distant future we can just turn our hearing aides off

Our doors face each other and honestly, every day they add more crap to either the front of their apartment or the picnic area they created using an empty patch of grass. It started out looking pleasant. A picnic table and some solar lights. They keep adding stuff from the 99 Cent Store, though. The latest item is a giant light-up flower that they stuck into a bush next to the table. Can you imagine? I'll HAVE to take a picture of it to show everyone.

Insurance is cheaper. I only pay a third of what my mortgage was. My house utilities used to equal my entire rent here. The Cons - No garden No backyard No doggie No air circulationg due to front and back doors. White walls. Hate wall to wall carpet. Can't blast MY music. Have to hear other people's music/tv/pleasuring. Lack of storage/cabinet space. Dinky kitchen. Electric stove - ugh! I miss having a house!!!!

I long for a modest house in a less congested area.
