Plus if say the Mermaid project did make it to both coasts would the one in Florida open in a timely fashion along with the west coast version or would we be sitting waiting for several years for it to happen... The only reason I ask is based on the idea that I cannot figure out why the two seperate destinations have acted so independtly(sp?) of each other for years...I always thought they should be somewhat in line with each other regardless...

Therefore the idea that the MK at both parks needs to be different for most people probably does not make sense. Now I am sure there are a few (15% or so) who may regularly see both parks but I doubt making both parks almost (they can never be exactly) the same would really matter. Flame Away

Well the other parks in Florida need the money more. AK, DS, and Epcot have lots of holes to be filled and Mk's numbers remain strong. Second this attraction is just too expensive for MK. Everything they have added over the last 15 or so years have been done with minimal budgets. While the other Disney parks around the world have gotten much grander attractions. Unless they can find a Living Seas to DL's Nemo type budget. I highly doubt we will see this attraction in Florida's Magic Kingdom any time soon.

My ratio of WDW trips to DL trips is somewhere around 40-1 (Though that may switch soon if I go to school in California. I honestly think that each park should be the best possible experience to guests, and if that means building two of the same awesome ride in two different places, I'm all for it.

How many people? hmmm ... how many DVC members are there? My guess is all the DVC members are very Disney saavy and loyal AND would love to visit all the parks.

I can't remember the gossip at the time...Remind me please... Where do the rather lame projects come from that WDW gets instead of DL? Is it just me or did Epcot really need Mission Space worse than the studio park needing a rehaul of Star Tours? Just wondering how somethings happen while other things that need to happen get ignored in the process...Obviouly money is being spent but is it in the right place is my biggest concern...I think we all know the answer to that question..

I don't want it to become a try one thing, see if it works, put it in all the parks, and repeat. I would like for all the parks to have the ability to try their own creative ideas and then the best can be put at all the parks. Meanwhile, the result would be numerous unique attractions which I think in the long run would benefit everyone because it encourages new ideas.
