I did discover a Segway experience in Santa Monica for anyone living in, or visiting Southern California. This company-"Segway Los Angeles," offers tours and rentals in the Santa Monica Beach area. Rentals cost $75 for 2 hours--up to $275 for 24 hours. Riders must be at least 21 years old. Check it out: www.segway.la/rental.php

There were a couple of the Segways at Innoventions a while back that you could ride for free on a very small "course" with some initial training. I tried it about four or five times and it was great! I'll be checking on the tour before my next trip to the Park.

When I was at DL a couple of weeks ago, I went into the Tour Office and asked about it. The three CMs all looked at each other and then one replied, "We hear that it's going to happen, but if you want to check...call the number on this" and then handed me a "Walk in Walt's Footsteps" brochure. I asked if it is truly going to happen and they said it's "in the planning stages." I called the # and they didn't know anything more. ^^^Whatever that's worth...
