Just like with So Cal AP, you would have to be able to prove your residency out of state or whatever, but I think that would be cool. Right now, the ones that can use them the mosty pay less, and those who will use them much less, pay more. It would just be cool to have an option like that. I mean, even if it had a 15 or 20 day cap or something. They will never do it....they'd rather make the money, but I just thought it would be cool. Do you think there is a market for something like that? Anyone else out of state that would benefit from something like that?

The out to state AP holder's behavior is very different than the in-state AP holders and particularly the locals. Local AP holders will drop in for a few hours but more often. The local AP tends to go for the big nighttime shows and new attractions/shows/parades. An out to state AP will go for fewer days but for more hours each day. My usually way to buy an AP is that I happen to know I will be making more than one trip in a year and so I get a multi-day park hopper to get the early entry and then convert to an AP on the first trip. I have done this about 3 or 4 times in the last 12 years. Once in my entire life have I gone to DL more than 2 times in a year (but I did go to DL, WDW, Hong Kong DL, and Tokyo DL in one year's time once).

Cal (and qualify for the discounts), but I can't use my pass more than a few weekends a year. Because of scheduling, that boils down to maybe 3 trips a year, but I shelled out for the whole enchilada this year because those three trips were all going to wind up blocked out on the other passes, and I knew I'd be there enough to make it pan out. Yes, it would be nice to have a pass that recognizes some of us can only get there so often, and often during what could be a pass blackout, but I don't see it happening...

You would think they would LOVE to have out of towners making 2-3 shorts trips a year spending $$$ on merch and food.

We are from Vancouver Canada and it takes about 2hrs to Seattle, so i guess it makes sense. We usually drive to Las Vegas first and the quickest route takes us 16-17 hrs which isnt as painful.
