So we thought ok, Sarah will keep my car and I'll take her new (well 5 y.o. but new to us) MPV. About 80 miles from Hull, the darn thing lost power and could not go higher than 50. So 5 hours later, and a detour through Sherwood Forest, I arrive at my hotel. Then, on the way home, it happens again - so it seemed to take forever to get home. Not good. At the garage, they said they'll look it over, but the prognosis is not good. In the meantime, the 32% shortfall in my salary still has not been paid, and we are 11 days away from our trip to Paris. I know worse things can happen, but my tolerance level is much lower now. Thanks for listening.

But they have no claims discounts, and as the car would drive, I didn't want yet another hike in outgoings due to no claims. Off to Ironbrigde tomorrow, hopefully that journey will be better.
