As for the concept art from Avatar it looks interesting and it seems that the rumors about a Soarin type of attraction using the smaller space/vehicles maybe true. The concept model picture shows Joe Rohde explaining the model to Staggs and James Cameron. It looks like there may also be an attraction with guests riding in a boat. Enjoy

The most exciting thing of this entire announcement, however is the idea of DAK at night. A WOC-esque show showcasing animals is a FANTASTIC idea!

That boat ride looks good. But the boat doesn't look big enough; two rows of three for a total of six passengers. That gives it 25% of the hourly capacity of Pirates. Those boats need to have at least five rows of four to get above 2,500 riders per hour.

WDI needs to think like the WDI of the 1960's and plan these rides for 10+ Million riders per year. Get bigger boats or don't do this Avatar thing!

    ORGOCH: Got dreams?

Many people couldn't get past their problems with the plotting of the movie. But say what you will about the plot, the movie looked great.

To bad we have to wait until 2017!! Seems an awfully long time for construction, but maybe they're still working out the details.

However I still think Disney shouldn't have used outside IP, but on the other hand Disney already did that with Lucasfilm in the 80s and 90s.

Everybody keeps talking about Beastly Kingdom. What exactly would that land have been? What rides would have been offered?

I have only seen a concept art once, but it didn't reveal a lot.

Similar to Carsland, this looks like it will be incredibly well executed, but I'm not sure it's the best source material

And from that model, it looks like the mountain(s) will be huge. I hope that they are able to do it in a way that doesn't overshadow Everest across the park; part of what makes that mountain look so big is the lack of any other real hills in the park. I'm also somewhat concerned about having a structure like that in the park that guests will walk under, if they've been having issues with pieces falling off of the Tree of Life and Splash Mountain

As for the boats, I would assume that the rendering is taking some liberties. From the look of it, they'll probably be similar to the boats on Maelstrom, but themed differently to fit in

And I'm excited about the idea of a nighttime experience, but I'm not sure I understand what it is. It sounds like it could be a World of Color-type show, but it also sounds like it could be a relatively simple Mad T Party-type event. The concept art makes me think it is the latter, which I don't think will keep most guests in the park into the evening (unless its very well done)

The details on this are vague, but it seems like there probably would have been some sort of dragon-inspired rollercoaster (this was before IOA opened Dueling Dragons), a gentle boat ride, and a hedge maze. Here are some of the most widely seen pieces of concept art:

    <a target="blank" rel="nofollow" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_OO7WbmARD08/SaRsIJaJZ8I/AAAAAAAAO8I/GRH3SB3HqCs/s400/bk.jpg">http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_OO7W...0/bk.jpg</a>

And the park's logo prominently features a dragon, indicating that the new area was supposed to open relatively early in the park's life. The animals in the logo can be seen on light fixtures the backs of the benches in the Oasis area

The first piece oddly resembles the FLE concept art.
