Of course, this was after the temperature was over 100 most of the week before. It doesn't have to be hot but I guess there's a better chance that it will be. It will be crowded, but I've never seen it as crowded in the summer as it has been during spring break (I've never been during Christmas vacation.)

Each morning there was fog and drizzle and the parks really seemed empty-ish, but when everything burned off, the park really filled up, but you could still do stuff. We took the opportunity to go back to our hotel to rest for a couple of hours and come back in the evening. The weekdays had less crowds than Sunday. I think if you plan on getting to the park at opening, and use your fastpasses, you'll do ok. And remember, if you have little ones, take time for a nap!

We are going back this august 12-18, and I look foreward to the crowds and heat again. I really enjoy watching all the families with their kids. I don't mind waiting in line at all...I'm just so excited to be there, that I don't think there's much that could ruin my good time.
I deal with the heat, and I deal with the crowds...it's DISNEYLAND!!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!

I can handle it being busy but when you are trying to navigate a stroller through a sea of bodies without bumping into anyone, you tend not to enjoy to atmosphere quite as much. The heat doesn't bother me that much since I live in Las Vegas.

(I remember reading about the heatwave in July and early Aug. and I was worried. We used to go to WDW in the fall, back in the day, and summer in CA didn't feel as hot as FL in the fall!)

The place was very crowded (but I don't mind summer crowds). We used FP a lot and spent a lot of time sitting and just enjoying areas (we were there two weeks!). Because there was only two of us and my son is older, we had an easy time getting around etc. We loved it.

But i do recall going in 1988 in august....and it was horribly hot. i said then that i would never go in august again. but somehow our plans ended up being in august. If its the only time you can go, then go. i don't think anything should stop you from going to Disneyland. especially a few people and a bit of heat! ;0)
