To be more specific, it's one of the few places in the parks with a full bar, and not just beer and wine. The WDI story of the bar goes something like that the bartender has the key to "Dad's liquor cabinet."

But Rosie then made it VERY CLEAR that she was not joking around, that she expected to be given a plate for her appetizer. She should have gotten the plate then and all would have been fine. Instead, the server continued with the act. I finally had to interject and tell the server that if my wife didn't get the plate she wanted we would be leaving.

But I'll give it another try. Ann is much less formal than Rosie. She's even trying to get me to go to the Dixie Stampede (kind of like an Ozarks Medieval Times) in Branson where they serve your dinner without utensils. So far I'm resisting... heck, I even eat PIZZA with a fork! LOL

I think it was the absolute highlight of our trip to WDW a few years ago. We laughed and had such a blast the whole time. Five stars from me.

I think the key to enjoying Prime Time Cafe is to get into the spirit of the thing. Relax. Go with it. It's one meal. It's an experience.

I agree. But the servers should know to back off when it appears a guest doesn't want to play along. Rosie wanted a plate for her onion rings knowing they would likely be greasy and she didn't want to be eating them off a napkin. When you've been walking around a theme park all day in Florida's hot, humid weather and then wait for an hour to be seated when you supposedly had a priority seating reservation, people occasionally get a little testy. I would have played along, but I don't really fault Rosie for not wanting to.

I guess so. But the whole point of the place is that you are visiting family, not in a restaurant exactly. Different rules apply at Prime Time Cafe, which, IMHO, is what makes it so fun.

If you're tired and just want to eat dinner, it probably is not the best choice. But if you're up for something fun and uniquely Disney, it's perfect.
