I have never waited more than 10 or 15 minutes for Pooh at Disneyland.

That pretty-much eliminates the Adventureland gridlock, doesn't it?

Originally Posted By SafariRob >>Sadly the flying carpet ride provides the Adventureland gridlock.<< LOL! That IS pretty sad. In the pictures it looks like a Dumbo-clone...only with magic carpets. As popular as Dumbo is, I guess it makes sense that the Magic Carpets would be too. Adventureland at Disneyland will give even the most crowd-loving person a serious case of claustrophobia. It's horrible...even on slow days. Does anyone know if any of the new construction in Fantasyland will be complete by February 2011?
Originally Posted By mousermerf Fantasyland? No. They've barely started. You might see those castle wall bits but nothing besides some basic scenery could be completed by then. As for Pooh - WDW's is much better. It's not the Tokyo version, but it has different vehicle modes. It can go through scenes like normal, it can "bob" or float through the rainy day, and it can "bounce" with tigger. All are different vehicle movements - not to mention the show scenes are more fully fleshed out then DL's. It's a decent Fantasyland dark ride. It replaced Mr. Toad. As for Adventureland - the Treehouse is off to the side, sort of looming over Jungle Cruise, and the JC is actually down and off to the side with a seperate courtyard from the main path. The Magic Carpets do sort of have this "plopped in the middle of a plaza" look but the pathways around it are wide. The Tiki Room is near it and again well off to the side of the path. The Tiki room is actually part of the central block were there's restaurants and such at DL. At the far end, right before the path doubles back on the otherside as Frontierland, is Pirates. Nothing is stacked on top of each other the way it is at DL. The center block of shops/dining divides Adventure from Frontier and has big covered portals that shoot straight through - no small winding hill paths like DL. Also, the complete lack of New Orleans Square helps.

Let's hope it gets the effect it's supposed to during the eventual overhaul. <<I have to admit that I was also shocked to find out that there is no Indy at the Magic Kingdom. I'd take Indy gridlock, at least that's warranted. <<Why do you say that?>> Because I just assume DL is better. Kidding of course, but the outdoor queue/load for Pooh is awesome and WDW's Pan is basically falling apart.
