I would look into this - they do a nice CD and it would free you up from taking all the pix yourself.

Will this be his first trip to Disneyland? If so be sure to stop by City Hall and get him a "First time Visitor" button.

I'm sure others will chime in with ideas to make this trip full of magical memories!

(He is out living all the Dr.s thoughts :) ).

Ok, We would drive down I-5 till I think it was jsut before the calif -oregon border then we would switch over to 101. There are -- or were-- alot of roadside stops -- one was the house of mystery. daughter was about 7 and enjoyed the Mystery House. I also remember a dinosaur area. We saw the red woods. Driving at a slower pace was the best part.

Once in Orange county, We went to knotts for dinner, spent 5 days rding rides and seeing shows at Disneyland. She still talks about the dinner show we went to that has characters jousting and being like robin hood.

We went to the Sandiego Zoo. It was a very hot day and with the hills and it jsut being such a big zoo I did not enjoy it at all. I would do sea world-- that was a lot of fun.

Take your time, take lots of pictures, and make memories. I am so sorry with all you are dealing with. So not fair :(

I did both of them for under $20 (I shop mostly Target and DisneyShopping.com clearance) I know that disneyshopping.com is having some pretty good sales in their outlet section right now. You could even put a t shirt., water bottle, snacks, etc with his favorite character in a backpack that has his favorite character on it, they have those pretty cheap at disneyshopping.com as well. Other ideas for the backpack or basket or whatever are an autograph book and pen, disposable camera, Disney Dollars, lanyard for pin collecting, whatever he likes. I left their baskets on the hotel bed before they got into the room and told them they were from Mickey and Minnie welcoming them to Disneyland, they loved it! Good luck, I hope you guys have the best trip ever!

If there isn't one by you you can hit the one by Disneyland for cheaper souvenirs, some of the merchandise they have is still sold in the parks.

You'll all love DL as well. Just remember you don't have to hit every ride. Do the ones your grandson loves more than once if he wants. Enjoy the shady sitting areas when you can. Don't rush yourselves. The mylar balloons are fun souvenires. You can let the air out with a needle and pin on the bedroom wall.
