As a family, we have only been to disneyland twice. First time was spring break '04 and last time it was Christmas '05. As you can tell both times were CRAZY crowded. Christmas was so crowded it was misrable. So my husband said we can plan a trip this year! YEA! I already know I am waiting for summer for the nemo ride. NO WAY will I miss that! My kids are going to all-year-round school and the first break they have will be in September. So the week we want to go is Monday the 17 till Friday the 21st. Do you think this should be a nice, quiet week? (not that there is any such thing as that anymore) but compared to the times we have been? Anyone know about the weather around then? Does anyone know of a better time? This has been a long post just to ask a question sorry! Thanks everyone!

I don't know when the Halloween decorations will go up this year, I believe last year it was the last weekend in Sept. and with it being so popular they may push it back in Sept. Others might know what attractions are typically closed in Sept. Disneyland will probably be closing at 8pm (Main Street staying open until 9) and DCA may close as early at 6pm. With 3 young kids those times should be perfect. No temptation to stay up way too late. That's about all I can answer. Have fun planning!

I did notice that they added some scarecrows and bales of hay as well as merchandise for halloween while we were there, so I imagine it won't be too early at the end of September. Have a great time, I think in comparison with the times you've gone it will seem like you have the whole park to yourself. And by the way - my husband is the same, except I got a few more trips out of him before he got "disney saturation" . What you need to do now, is to take him to Disney World in Florida. Mine's dying to go back. Have a wonderful time.
