What he really meant, though, was "You guys can get in the hot tub and I can play in the water park!" He had the best time on the planet, and so did we. The walk wasn't too far to or from the park, having Mimi's right there was also awesome, and the view of the Matterhorn from our room could not be beat. I'm sorry to say this (and don't tell Lorealle), but I wasn't expecting very much out of HoJo's. I just thought it would be a somewhat clean place to rest our heads at the end of the day. I was wrong, it was absolutely perfect and so much better than I was expecting. My son is now insisting we have to stay there the next time we visit DLR, and I agree with him.

I'm sure staying at the Disney Land Hotel is magic, but Hojo really was great and what an amazing walking distance to the park! That amazed us.

Bldg 2 was quiet....hidden....a romantic retreat. Bldg 1 (yes with the skylights, top floor, exceptional Matterhorn view) was killer for the fireworks and the whole ambience of seeing the Monorail and just being a stone's throw away. I don't want to stay anywhere else....well, I would definitely stay IN the park, especially GCH.

Can anyone give me an idea of typical "regular" & "entertainment" card rates? I'm trying to choose between renting a vacation home & driving the few miles to DL with my older parents, or finding a good rate @ HoJo's & walking over to the park, where I will convince the oldsters to rent ECV's. Thanks alot!

Allowed me to splurge and get a seventh floor room with a Disney view from the balcony. I have never stayed there but with all the wonderful reviews both here and with trip advisor, I figured it must be a pretty decent hotel. Someone here also shared this website, which you might find useful http://www.hojoanaheim.com/php...=13&t=14 It lists the dates of the entertainment rate from now through June of next year. I have heard so much about the HoJO's, I think I'll call Lorealle, and then buy the book. Do you mind if I ask when in March you are going? We will be there the first week, the 1st-6th. Thanks again!!
