Due to an infected foot, my wife was in a wheelchair during this recent trip (July 11-16); so when we got to DCA we proceeded directly to the Grizzly River Run Fast Pass area to get tickets to WOC. We got passes to the 10:15 show (the one we wanted) in the Red Section. We were instructed to show up at 9:00 PM right by the Waterwheel on the side of GRR (that was the initial "holding area" for the 10:15 show for wheelchairs). Once we were moved into our actual section - it turned out that there were only 8(!) people in the Red Wheelchair section - and there were 3 benches - so we ALL got seats. The Red section is to the RIGHT of the viewing area, fairly close to the Golden Zephyr - so these were not considered to be "great" seats - but I have to tell you - once the show started - it felt like we were right in the middle of it - it was AMAZING. We were not in the "splash zone" but it felt like we were right on top of the fountains (without the getting wet part!). There were even fountains in the planters that surrounded us that would pop up from time-to-time. From beginning to end the whole show was just an amazing experience. We were only able to see it once while we were there, but we are already planning our next trip down, and if we are able, we definately want to include one or more viewings of WOC in our plans. One more thing - when the flames start going off, we REALLY could feel them.

I hope that you are able to see it too - the YOU-Tube Videos capture the images, but not the majesty of the show. It's truly a remarkable show that has put Disney California Adventure on the Theme Park Map. When they complete all of the other additions to this park - it will rank right up there in the top eschelon of Disney Theme Parks - no longer will it be one of the bottom-dwellers (IMO).

I want to commend Disney for figuring this all out and putting this plan into place and being so well organized.

Truthfully - we spent about 3 minutes in line during the morning to get the Fast Passes (we wanted 2nd show anyhow); then we got to the queueing area just at 9:00 PM (the tickets said to get there between 9 and 9:30 PM). We moved to the next staging area right at 9:30 (just after the first show was ending); then were in our "seating area" by 9:45. The show started right on time at 10:15 and ended at 10:45.

Goofygirl - hope you share your experience too. We have not seen the show yet but will be going in July 2011. I like to research and my fellow Disney fans are the best resource!
