Stood in line FOREVER, only to get up to order to find out that they were out of:

Uptown chicken salad (my first choice)
French Quarter Beef salad (my second)
    Any green salads
Hot dogs from the kids' menu (my 6yo daughter's choice)

And their only soup was MUSHROOM (gag)

I settled on a french dip which, frankly, was nasty. I've never had a french dip before that wasn't good... until then. (And, trust me, I'm not that picky.)

Not only that, but when I opted for the PB & J for my daughter (no other options at that point - she wouldn't eat clam chowder or mushroom soup, and a huge sandwich was way too much/too expensive), they opened up a pre-packaged Smuckers' UNCRUSTABLES.

Okay, so we have a sandwich that costs roughly $.62 at the grocery store (4 for $2.50, and THEY'RE making a profit), about $.20 worth of corn chips, and a $.25 container of milk.... for $6.00?!?!? I dunno, but that irritated me. I mean, c'mon, at least LIST the sandwich as a "Smucker's" - or better yet - "Smucker's Uncrustables," so that we at least know what we're spending our $6 on. You know?

I guess my biggest complaints were that we got a really substandard meal for close to $50 by the time it was all said and done (we spent less at Blue Bayou for a fantastic meal!), and I was annoyed that we had to stand in line for 30 minutes to find out that over half of their menu was not available! Can't they post a sign saying, "SORRY, WE ARE OUT OF ______"?

I thought about writing a letter to *someone*, but really, would it do any good?

    Guess what I get?

    A juice box.

A few years ago we were there, and we couldnt find food. It was the off season so 1/2 the places werent open. We went to one walk up place and were told it would be an hour for a burger- they were defrosting them. I dont know why they didnt just throw them on frozen, they would have cooked! It was the craziest thing I've experienced there. We did find food somewhere, but it was really below the quality we were expecting. My BIL worked at blue bayou at the time. He said they had about 20,000 more people in the park then they anticipated.

hlbtimes2: I totally agree, and my husband & I talked about that. In fact, the workers in the kitchen told us they were running out of everything and were frustrated too, and had no control over it, and I sympathized with them - told them "And yet you're the lucky ones who get to deal with all the agitated customers!" I really felt for them.

My biggest beef, I guess, is that they didn't at least post a sign outdoors so we could have moved on to a place that DID have food, instead of waiting in line 30 minutes to find out. That's all.

I think I will write a letter. Thanks again, everyone!

I would have been FURIOUS to stand in line only to settle for JUNK that I didn't want because they were to lazy to post what was no longer available.

I would SEND the receipt too-the only way Disney seems to learn is to hit them in the bottom dollar. You had to settle for JUNK because they were either too disorganized, short-staffed, understocked, busy-NONE of which you the guest have control of-THEY DO-you deserve a refund at the very least.

It was at the Riverbelle for dinner and the line was long. The closer we got to the CM at the register the fewer choice we had! But, I can't complain, they were marking off menu items as soon as the people in the back would tell them that they had run out of yet another item.

I really didn't get that upset. I was still in Disneyland, and my belly was at least getting SOMETHING, if not what it really wanted.

I guess I just have a really hard time keeping upset when I am at the happiest place on earth!
