Thank you for clarifying the latest developments in the semingly endless series of cutbacks at WDW. In the face of some of the most drastic reductions in offerings many of us have ever seen from Walt Disney World Co., it is important to remember that with moderate planning, a trip to WDW can be as rewarding as ever. Your comprehensive summary has been particularly helpful in keeping us mindful of this. It is equally important to remember, as you have mentioned, that many of these cutbacks are bound to be temporary, and will be reinstated incrementally as the economy begins to recover.

Having just returned from WDW little more than a week ago, I was particularly disheartened to learn that some of the activites I had so recently enjoyed have since been cancelled or curtailed. The closing of the Carousel of Progress, which from all indications appears to be a permanant situation, is particularly disappointing. Additionally, though an understandable business decision, the closing of Port Orleans French Quarter, (the resort of my last visit) will no doubt prove somewhat frustrating for fellow fans of this Moderate.

Thanks again for what I believe to be the most complete coverage of the situation to date. Your article is a great resource for the most current information for all those planning to visit Walt Disney World during these cautious times.

I agree that some guest will be angry with the changes in their reservations but I am also being told that Disney is going out of its way to make things right with those guests (including better views and even updgrades to other resorts)

I am also disappointed in the closing of the Carousel of Progress. It is one of my favorite rides and the timing was poor. They could have waited a year till after the 100 yr celebration was over
