Originally Posted By MickeyMommy I was going to write a little trip report, but haven't had a chance yet - but wanted to add a few nice words about the HoJo. We stayed there last month for one night using the $49 Entertainment Card rate. The following two nights we stayed at the GCH with AP rates. First of all, it was a bit of a tough sell to my husband to explain why on earth we weren't going to spend all 3 nights at the HoJo at that rate! We have stayed at both places before, and his vote definitely goes to the Hojo. But I had my heart set on the GCH, so he knows it is a losing battle trying to talk me out of my plans. Ok, so we arrive on a humid friday about 1pm and check in at the HoJo. Room is ready, building one, 2nd floor, facing the freeway. The kids (my two boys ages 11 and 8, and my 7 year old nephew) LOVE it. They can stand on the balcony and look directly eye level at the cars on the freeway. The balcony has double doors, and there is no noise from the freeway with the doors closed. The room is very spacious - two queen beds and a table and chairs. So the next morning, we go to the parks for early entry, and have a great time, BUT it is so humid, we are all pretty wiped out when we get back close to noon. Now we have to check out, and hang out somewhere untill our room is ready at the GCH. I thought I'd call the front desk and see if I could bump up our check out time a bit, any extra time in an air conditioned room or by the pool would be heaven. Boy am I surprised when the lady on the phone says we can stay untill 3pm without charge! My husband commented that the GCH would NEVER let us do that... Double thumbs up for the HoJo from us!
