Greenpeace activists also unfurled a banner that said "Mickey harms the global climate" Sunday to protest Hong Kong Disneyland's energy management, the environmental group said in a statement. Greenpeace estimates that the two lobby chandeliers comprise 200 incandescent light bulbs, which use more heat than light. "

Incandecent lights use engery which is converted into heat and light. They don't USE either. If they are talking about "upstream" enegery sources such as geothermal or solar energy plants, then you can make a claim they "use" heat and/or light as energy. I'm confused. Looks like someone just taking a free shot at Disney over an extravegant use of lightbulbs. Better look out for Greenpeace at WDW Osborne light festival.

Those chandeliers (I'm not exactly sure which ones, but I expect a couple of the huge ones) are pretty high up. At least 10 or 15 feet to the bottom of them, and the lowest row of lights is a couple feet above that. To actually reach a spot where they could be replaced would basically require a ladder (or about 4 people standing on each other's shoulders), which would be impossible to pull off undetected. And why are they so concerned about the light bulbs, when there is a theme park next door sending dozens of half empty vehicles through the ride cycles each hour. Not the most productive way to fight a cause, IMO.
