Any recommendations? Cheap and clean with an airport shuttle is all we need. Thanks!

Sorry for the life of me I can not think of any other hotel names from all the shuttles going round and round. I guess they just become a blur. I am usually fascinated with the traffic cops on their motorcycles. Why is it fun to see so many people getting tickets??? I know Not Nice

    Good luck

There are a lot of perfectly functional hotels on W Century that have shuttles. I usually stay in the Westin but then I'm loyal to Starwood. The Sheraton, Four Points, Hilton and Marriott are all together between W Century and Airport. There isn't much better them so if you want to save some cash just plump for the cheapest.

All four runways run west to east and they usually shift the take-off and landing to the Pacific for overnight flight movements so it is usually pretty quiet.

The beach is directly under the flight path, so there will be planes ~200-400' overhead every few seconds. There's nothing quite like being under a 747 as it's taking off, with the engines all running at full power! (insert Everest yeti joke here)

If you walk down the block from the ES a small park area is situated with a few benches and it is always popular. People watch the planes and some even document everything . What is that all about? Anybody?
    Sorry to get off topic.
Hope you let us know if you find a good cheap hotel.

As already ststed planes fly east and west for landing and take off respectively so flight path is not over most hotels. Are you just looking for a place to sleep or do you other things nearby?. Though I live in LA,when I flew back East, I stayed at a hotel near yhe airport and used priceline and marked with a shuttle and had numerous options. I was at the Holiday Inn. It did the job of a decent night of sleep before a 6am flight.

Found out that was typical when I got home and read the Trip Advisor reviews...
