Im sure others will have better deatails. There were some speeches and introductions. I do know Jim Cora was there because I saw him later in the day. I did see Mickey making an apperance towards the top of one of the castle turrets. Fireworks were set off from the castle. As the music played, a ton of characters and entertainers streamed out of the castle waving little flags. I learned later that they were giving out their flags to some of the Guests. As the music played, more fireworks and a grand finale apperance by Mickey and his pals. Greetings parade was at 1215. Single float with Mickey and friends. No stops. Very simple. Jubilation was at 3:00. Nice parade, but I was expecting more. Could have done without the rehashed High School Musical 2 music they use for the show stop segment. Overall the decorations were nice but sparse. None of the usual elaborate decorations in the hub. The few decorations they did have appeared to be limited to the entrance plaza, World Bazaar, and the hub area. The castle decorations were nice and subtle. Looked much nicer at night. Missed the new Dreams fireworks. Will catch it in a few nights if the weather holds up. Lots of 25th and Jubilation related merchandise. Overall, much less than I expected. Seems like most of the money is being used for the new hotel and Monsters attraction. For me, the 20th anniversary oferings were much nicer. Even still I had a great time. I have been spoiled by TDR's past offerings, that's for sure. I'll post pictures of everything after I get back to the states.

Hotel aside, I would MUCH rather see funds going into mega-E's than more streamers and daytime fireworks(was there ever a dumber thing invented?). I go to the parks for attractions, not loud rubberhead shows.

Jubilation is the star attraction for the 25th Anniversary, and that features plenty of characters, as does the new Anniversary Greeting show. No other park uses the characters as much as what the TDR does. Besides there is no official confirmation yet on when Monsters is going to debut and it may not be until after the Anniversary.
Originally Posted By TDR_Fan <<If thats the case why are you visiting the Tokyo Disney Resort>> Bob has clearly stated that he visits the resort for its attractions. He never stated that he was interested in the 25th Anniversary stuff. In fact, I know several people who visit the parks for the theming and atmosphere who couldn't care less about the characters or parades. I enjoy them occasionally, but they're definitely not the main focus for me either.

A Disney experience for me is the whole package, shows, parades, attractions, dining and shopping. But who am I to knock two people who's agenda are not the same as mine. I just don't understand why you pay all this money to visit a Resort that relies so heavily on using Characters all the time. I guess you must feel the attractions are worth it.

IF they'd built something new (assuming what Dave is saying is true, I'm not quite sure if it is or just what Disney uses as an excuse), throwing in the Florida building next to Dumbo wouldn't really be the best plan imho. But anyway, there it is. Shoehorn and all.

Res. has several offerings not found elsewhere, right? And some of the attractions(in ride form) that are thought to be replicas from other parks are actually quite unique in Tokyo like: Splash Mnt. Pooh, BTMRR, Pooh(obviously), ToT and IJ. I'm not knocking the 25th celebrations---or any celebrations around the Disney globe---but I much prefer seeing good money go to more permanent setups like high end shows and rides.
